The role
o Collaborate with business owners and key users to define and document the business and functional requirements for IT projects using methodologies such as UML
o Responsible for translating business & functional requirements into high level and detailed design deliverables such as Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Logical Data Models, Business Rules, Prototypes and XSDs
o Liaise with the Development teams to provide support and quality assurance on the IT Solution components during the implementation
o Participate in IT project reviews and assessments as well as IT sourcing advisory projects
The suitable candidate
o We are looking for business-minded IT Consultants with solid hands-on experience in systems integration projects
o > 1 year experience with UML modeling tools such as Rational Unified Processing (UML AD, UML OSD) or Aris
o Excellent Client handling skills with the ability to translate business requirements into reusable design deliverables;
o Excellent team player, liaising effectively with other teams (development, infrastructure, project office, …) of the project. Both team members or (potential) team leaders can apply for this position;
o Experience in Financial Services, Utilities, Communications or High Tech preferred;
o English required, Dutch preferred

We are seeking a seasoned professional who is capable of consistent production of quality software in a fast-paced but relaxed environment - be ready to work hard, but enjoy yourself in the process.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of full-time development experience with PHP, and a working knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript. An understanding of the Web 2.0 development standards, database architecture and clean, maintainable code will be crucial to success on this. PHP Development experience must include usage of version 5.x and its object oriented features. Serious experience on MySQL is required; candidates must know how to both write, maintain and optimize queries with multi-table joins.
Because of the nature of our business, strong communication skills are an absolute requirement. You will be working closely with our other development teams to complete tasks: the ability to understand and make yourself understood in both written and spoken mediums is crucial to this position. Additionally, you should be comfortable with a fast paced, small team environment - the ability to take ownership of and pride in your work is crucial for success.
