TEKsystems has an exciting 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity with a great client of ours in the Manchester area. This position is looking for someone with a well rounded .NET background in both front-end and back-end development. Specifically, responsibilities will include development of application software and bug fixes in accordance with instruction from development managers. Development of unit tests as appropriate to test software. Integrating the application front end with the application business layer. The client is looking to bring someone on ASAP so all LOCAL and QUALIFIED parties should apply.

Target Development Environment:

- Visual Studio 2008, .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
- C#
- ASP.NET MVC
- HTML/CSS, XML
- Subversion source code repository
- AJAX
- SQL Server 2005
- WATIR web tests using Ruby
- NUnit

Mandatory Skills:

- .NET Framework 2.0+
- C#, Object-oriented programming
- ASP.NET
- XML
- HTML/CSS
- Source code management such as Subversion, Visual Source Safe

Desirable Skills:

- .NET Framework 3.5
- ASP.NET MVC or exposure to an MVC framework such as Struts
- Web Services, WCF
- AJAX
- WATIR web tests using Ruby
- SQL Server, T-SQL
- NUnit

Education or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience
