Providence, Rhode Island: Mainframe Network Engineer Job

Responsible for the support of the mainframe network system components in an IBM z/OS environment. These responsibilities include:

Daily operation, systems programming, and production support of the Mainframe VTAM/SNA, TCPIP, Netview, Connect:Direct(NDM) with Secure Plus, and Netview Access software and hardware components
Connectivity between the mainframe and server platform
Mainframe security software maintenance
Participation in disaster recovery planning and exercises
Participation in of 24x7 system support
Strong knowledge of customization, implementation and troubleshooting of: TCP/IP, VTAM, JES2, Netview, System SSL, file transfer protocols especially NDM and FTP, OSPF. Experience in Advanced Networking Concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, Network Security, Enterprise Extender, APPN)
