6-8 month contract
This position involves design, code, unit test and verification of embedded application Software for the 787 Flight Controls Electronics (FCE). Candidate will have a strong knowledge of all phases of avionics application software development, including requirements definition, code generation, hardware/software integration, planning and tracking of tasks, model-based development environments, and other embedded software development activities.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with peers, third party suppliers, global resources, and systems engineers.
Qualifications:
-BS in computer science and/or Computer/Electrical Engineering and 5 years of industry experience in software design.
-Experience in ANSI C coding, unit testing, SW-SW integration, HW-SW integration and software verification is required.
-Use of Green Hills Multi/Integrity in industry is required.
-Advanced work on applications SW I/O is required.
-Experience with standard communication protocols used in avionics (ARINC 429 & 664), as well as RTCA/DO-178 B procedures and methodology are required.
-Demonstrated experience working as a member of a team and ability to adapt well to a changing environment is required.
-Previous experience on Fly By Wire (FBW) Flight Control systems is highly desired.
-Ability to read and fully understand MATLAB/SimuLink drawings would be extremely beneficial.

TEKsystems has a 6-12 month contract to hire opportunity for a Java Developer/Designer for an opportunity in Omaha, NE.
Two or more years of experience using J2EE/web services. A thorough understanding of J2EE gained through formal training can substitute for this experience. Java development experience required.
Experience developing and/or supporting solutions for weather and meteorological science would be a plus.
Experience in XML, Eclipse IDE, HTML, and/or visualization techniques a plus also.
General knowledge of other disciplines and how they relate to software engineering to include systems, hardware, integration/test, configuration management, and quality engineering.
Experience using MS-Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
